It’s More Than Speech is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our pediatric therapy team!
We provide Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Educational Services through a family-centered, team-based approach. Our focus is on meaningful, functional outcomes that support children and their families beyond the therapy room.

At It’s More Than Speech, we’ve created a flexible and supportive work environment where therapists have the time and autonomy needed to provide exceptional care.
Our owner is also a full-time therapist and understands the importance of manageable caseloads, dedicated documentation time, thoughtful treatment planning, and a healthy work-life balance. Therapists are never asked to take on schedules or responsibilities that leadership would not be willing to manage themselves.
We prioritize communication and parent education, allowing therapists time during and after sessions to help families carry new skills into everyday life.
Caseload and Flexibility
Our full-time Speech-Language Pathologists maintain a minimum of 28 treatment sessions per week. The remaining scheduled hours are reserved for documentation, evaluations, treatment planning, collaboration, parent communication, and weekly staff meetings.
As the evaluating therapist, you have the professional autonomy to determine the frequency, duration, goals, and treatment approach most appropriate for each client.
Many of our team members enjoy working four 10-hour days, providing greater flexibility while allowing us to offer high-demand after-school appointments.
Compensation and Growth
Salaries are based on the minimum weekly productivity expectation. Therapists interested in increasing their earnings may choose to accept additional sessions. Sessions completed above the established minimum are paid separately on a biweekly basis.

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations based on each client’s needs.

Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Provide engaging, well-planned therapy sessions focused on meaningful and functional outcomes.

Complete accurate documentation that clearly reflects the skilled services provided.

Complete treatment notes within three days and evaluation reports within one week.

Conduct re-evaluations and update goals and recommendations based on client progress.

Educate and support parents and caregivers with strategies that encourage carryover outside of therapy.

Collaborate with families, therapists, educators, healthcare providers, and other members of the client’s care team.

Provide services primarily in the clinic, with the flexibility to offer teletherapy, community-based services, or home visits when appropriate.

Maintain professional, ethical, and compassionate communication with clients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:

Active Alaska Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, when applicable.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to successfully complete a background check.
